About Emma
Established in 2017, Emma Sayers Equine Physiotherapy has been providing physiotherapy services for horses in Ireland since then.

Through my background in different sectors of the equine industry as an owner, groom, rider and breeder, I saw what was expected of horses from a physical perspective. This prompted an interest in physiotherapy for horses to enable them to cope with these demands.

This led to physiotherapy qualifications- a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy from Bournemouth University and a MSc Veterinary Physiotherapy from Hartpury University.
I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT).

I was delighted to be able to contribute to the evidence base of the profession by having a paper published. This study explored the clinical reasoning and decision making of physiotherapists when treating horses following interspinous ligament desmotomy surgery. This link will take you to the study.
